Barracudas Boys snare silver at U16 National Champs in Hobart
The Barras boys team suffered their only loss of the tournament in the Grand Final after a dream run through the rounds and the semi finals to go down to Melville Shark 8 - 4. Melville Sharks were the pre-tournament favourites and claim their second straight title. Our girls beat Stuartholme in the 11th -12th playoff to finish 11th out of 24 teams. Amazing efforts by all. Barracudas' Melissa Rippon reaches 200th International Match Milestone becoming one of the most capped female players in history while competing at the second leg of the FINA Asia-Oceania World League in Tianjin, China. Mel has represented Australia internationally since 2000 and now has put in over a decade of world-class service consistently being one of Australia's top players and earning herself two Olympic Games berths culminating in captaining the 2008 Australian side to Olympic Bronze in Beijing.

2009-10 Senior Award Winners and New Life Members
Senior Awards for the 2009-10 season were handed out this past weekend - he highlights of the evening including the announcement of a new perpetual trophy to be awarded annually for X Grade men in honour of the late Ray Gonzo White and the induction of two new club life members, Phil Howden and Julian Muspratt. Barracudas Fashion Parade a huge Success
On Saturday the 8th May 2010 at Yeronga Pool the Inaugural Barracudas Fashion Parade and High Tea was staged. What a success it was both financially, to help fund in part the U16 Girls and Boys trip to Hobart, and socially as a huge social event in the 2009/2010 Barras Water polo season. Barracudas Seniors take five BWPI Premierships
In the Senior Grand Finals the Barracudas won every Grand Final they were in. The reigning X Grade men's Champs the Barracudas X2 took out the Grand Final over the Hammers comfortably while the B Grade women edged Stuartholme in a low scoring encounter 3-1. The B Grade men downed RiverCity in a close match 7-6 and the A Grade Men took four quarters to down the experienced Warriors outfit 9-8 to make it four from four Grand Finals on the day
